Atiku Abubakar footprints 2011

Posted by on August 31, 2011

I’ve always kept a close eye on Atiku Abubakar, former vice president of Nigera. He always had big dreams and made wise decisions which allowed him to improve his quality of life. I won’t go over his whole life story, you can read through that in the pdf I’ve attached at the end of this post. But I want to to tell you how his career started and what inspired me to follow his progress.

He started his career as a Customs officer and took a N31,000 loan (five times his yearly salary!) to buy a plot of land where he guided and supervised the construction of a bungalow. With the money he earned from renting the bungalow, he was able to buy another plot of land and that started his involvement in property development.

Through similar wise investments, Atiku now owns several properties and a handful of successful businesses. Not only have these investments improved his own life but they also help the people via direct or indirect employment and of course providing more services and products to the Nigerian people.
